Caribbean Poker Table Game Review

This version of Caribbean Poker has been designed by BGaming and gives you a game that is essentially Oasis Poker.

Caribbean Poker is certainly one of the most popular poker table games in casinos around the world, and it is also extremely popular among mBit casino players. The usual 5-card poker hand system is used and the idea of the game is to beat the dealer with a better hand. It is as simple as that.

Players will get their largest wins from the raise bet, but only when the dealer qualifies for the showdown with an A-K high card combination. As the raise bet is double the amount of the ante and payouts for the various poker hands apply to the raise bet, the payouts can be quite lucrative.

However, one of the most frustrating parts to this game you will need to deal with is when you do get a good hand, and then the dealer’s hand does not qualify so you are not paid out the hand value on the raise bet and rather your raise is returned.

The house edge for Caribbean Poker is 5.22%.giving you an RTP of 94.78% if you play the correct strategy.

How to Play Caribbean Poker

You need to place an ‘Ante’ to begin the game. Once the ante has been placed click on the ‘deal’ button to receive your cards.

For your hand, the dealer will give you 5 face-up cards, and 5 cards are dealt into the house’s hand. 4 of the cards are dealt to the house will be face down. Therefore, you will only know about 1 of the dealer’s cards.

You can either select ‘Fold’ and lose your ante or you can ‘Raise’ if you like the look of your hand. If you ‘Raise’ then double the amount of your ‘Ante’ will be automatically added to the ‘Raise’ circle to the right of the ‘Ante’.

A showdown between your 5-card hand the dealer’s 5-card hand will now commence.

Once the betting is over, you can ‘Rebet’ so the same denomination will be added to the ‘Ante’ circle or you can choose to ‘New Bets’ to reset the denomination you would like to wager.

How to Win at Caribbean Poker

You will always win your ‘Ante’ back if your hand beats the dealer’s and even if the dealer’s hand does not qualify. However, if you lose, then both your ‘Ante’ and ‘Raise’ bets are won by the house.

Should the dealer qualify, and your hand beats the dealer’s hand with any of the combinations below, then you win the following odds on your ‘raise’ bet.

High Card pays 1 to 1
1 Pair pays 1 to 1
2 Pair pays 2 to 1
3 of a Kind (Trips) pays 5 to 1
Straight pays 4 to 1
Flush pays 5 to 1
Full House pays 7 to 1
4 of a kind (Quads) pays 20 to 1
Straight Flush pays 50 to 1
Royal Flush pays 100 to 1

Caribbean Poker is also known as Caribbean Stud Poker, but this is not the version of Stud Poker with 7 cards. There is also a 5 card version of Stud poker. Arguably, you could say that this is 5 card draw poker without any draws.

The main objective is to use the dealer’s face-up card as some indication of what kind of hand the dealer may produce. If the face-up card is a king or an Ace and you have a hand that is just a high card lower than an Ace or King, then you should fold.
