BGaming has designed 8-deck Double Exposure Blackjack because of the popularity of the game online. It is rarely found in brick and mortar casinos, but on mBit, we have teamed up with BGaming to bring you the Blackjack variation with the lowest house odds. What’s more, is that you can play 3 seats in this game, and therefore this multi-handed Double Exposure Blackjack played at your own private virtual table.
Both the dealer cards are dealt face up in this game, and this is why this game particular variation of Blackjack can get quite busy on our online casino. However, just to even things out a little, there will not a push bet on draws. Instead, the dealer will win all ties.
One of the most entertaining features of this variation of blackjack is that you won’t mind going bust when you hit if your original cards are lower than the dealer’s total when the dealer’s hand is 17 or over. The rules on the table state clearly that the dealer stands on all 17s or higher. If you have 16, and the dealer has 18, you have no choice but to hit and hope.
The upside to this is that if you do decide to hit and beat the dealer’s total, you would be foolish to hit again because you already know you have banked your winnings!
Choose your denominator in the middle section of the screen and then click on the circles for the seats that you want to bet. You choose to wager 1, 2, or 3 seats and hands will be played in sequence from right to left.
The minimum and maximum bets are displayed in the top right-hand corner of the table and don’t worry about overbetting because you will be given a warning preventing you from doing so.
After you have placed your bet, then simply click on the ‘Deal’ option. 2 cards are dealt at each seat you have placed a bet, and 2 cards are dealt with the dealer. All of these cards will be face up.
You now have the option to ‘Stand’ or ‘Hit’. If you stand, then no further cards will be added to your hand. If you hit, then another card will be added to your hand and the total of that card added to your overall hand total. If you go over 21, then your hand will ‘bust’ and all bets will be lost.
On occasion, you may be dealt a pair in which you have the option to split. This means your 1 hand will turn into 2 separate hands, and you will need to place an additional wager equal to your original bet.
When you have finished, the dealer will then hit if the value of the dealer's hand is less than 17. If the hand is a soft or hard 17, the dealer will stand. The same ‘stand rule’ applies if the dealer’s hand total is above 17.
Payouts in this variation of blackjack are slightly different from most traditional blackjack games. You will not get the usual Blackjack payout and ties means that the house wins.
