Bgamings Oasis poker is a straight-up game of 5 card poker. Both you and the dealer and dealt 5 cards, and it is up to you decide whether you want your hand to go up against the dealer’s hand.
It is arguably the easiest table poker game to learn and play in any casino. The average initial wager per hand is about 1.04% house edge on the ante. The average raise is about 18 times the ante give the house an edge of just 0.47% according to standard Oasis Poker rules.
As the game is based quite a bit on luck, this is why the house edge is so low.
Place a chip on the ‘Ante’ area of the table and click on ‘deal’. You will be dealt 5 cards that will all be face up. The dealer will also be dealt 5 cards, but only the first card will be face-up and the last 4 face-down.
1. Click ‘fold’ to forfeit your ante to the house
2. Click ‘raise’ to see the dealer’s 4 face-down cards
At this point, you will have the showdown with the dealer. May the best hand win!
It is the face-up card that will give you some clue as to whether you stand a chance against the dealer, but Oasis Poker is not like blackjack where you have an optimal strategy. It is basically based on luck of the draw as with only 6 cards showing it is hard to figure out the odds or outs you have as you would be able to in most other games of poker.
To win, you need to make a 5 card poker hand that will beat the dealer’ hand.
If your hand beats the dealer's hand, then you will win your ante back at even odds no matter the hand value. Your raise bet will be paid according to the pay table.
Standard poker hands apply in this game:
High Card: 1 to 1
1 Pair: 1 to 1
2 Pair: 2 to 1
3 of a Kind (Trips):5 to 1
Straight: 4 to 1
Flush: 5 to 1
Full House: 7 to 1
4 of a kind (Quads): 20 to 1
Straight Flush: 50 to 1
Royal Flush: 100 to 1
One rule that works in your favor is that you always know the dealer needs to qualify with a hand that is an Ace or higher. If you see the dealer has an Ace, and you do not have a hand that beats this, then you should always fold.
Should the dealer’s hand not qualify, then your ante is paid back at even odds no matter the hand you have. Therefore, if you have a Royal Flush, and the dealer does not qualify, your raise bet is pushed, and the ante returned plus an amount equal to your ante.
As for strategy, there is not much strategy for winning this game because you only see one of the dealer’s hand. It’s a tough game to play and most of the time the excitement behind Oasis Poker is the anticipation through the element of luck involved.
It is very easy to set up the game and get going. Click on the denominator you want to wager in the middle of the screen at the bottom. Next, click on the ‘Deal’ option.
Once the betting round is over, you can either select ‘New Bets’ giving you the ability to increase or decrease the amount your wager on your next bet. You can also just select ‘re-bet’ to place the same wager amount for the next game.
