Trey poker is a 3-card style poker table game released for cryptocurrency online casino players by BGaming.
It’s a very easy way to play poker and does not come with as much financial risk as games like Texas Hold’em, plus it is also much less complicated than Texas Hold’em due as there is no flop, turn, or river. It is actually very simple to play as you are dealt your hand and then that hand goes straight to showdown versus the dealer to decide the final result.
As there are 3 cards, the poker hands are slightly different compared to 5-card poker games such as Caribbean Stud, video poker, and Texas Hold’em.
To win this game, you will need to learn how to play 3 card poker strategy. You can also win extra bonus money by wagering on the dealer giving you a hand value of a pair or better.
To bet all you need to do is select the denominator your want to wager and then place that as an Ante by clicking on the ‘Ante’ circle. You will be dealt a 3 card hand with all 3 cards given to you face-up. The dealer will be dealt 3 face down cards, so you are given no help or clue as to what the dealer’s hand might be.
Your next decision is to decide whether you want to go up against the dealer with the hand you were dealt. Alternatively, you have the option to fold. Folding will mean you forfeit your ante bet and all cards are mucked, so you do not get to see the dealer’s hand.
If you decide to play, then another bet equal to the ‘Ante’ will automatically be placed on the ‘Play’ circle.
At this point, you will go into a showdown versus the dealer.
Winning on Trey poker relies on several conditions. Firstly, you need to ‘Play’ and not ‘Fold’ in order to continue. Secondly, the dealer’s hand needs to qualify in order for you to win back your ‘Play’ bet. For the dealer to qualify, the dealer's hand needs to be a Queen high or better. If the dealer does not qualify, then your ‘Play’ bet is pushed, so you get your money back. You will be paid even odds on your ‘ante’ bet at this point.
There are also 2 separate pay tables for this game:
1. Pair Up Bet: If you win the pair up bet, this is because the hand you were dealt contained a poker hand of a pair or better.
· Pair – Even Odds
· Flush – 3 to 1
· Straight – 5 to 1
· 3 of a kind – 40 to 1
· Straight Flush – 50 to 1
· Royal Flush – 100 to 1
2. Ante and Play Bet Payouts: These payouts only apply if you decide to select the ‘Play’ option after your ‘Ante’ bet and your 3 cards have been dealt.
The rules are slightly different for the ‘Ante’ bet and ‘Play’ bet. Even if you lose to the dealer, but you have a straight or better, you will be paid out on your ‘Ante’ bet according to the pay table below. You will only be paid even odds on the ‘Play’ bet at all times.
· Straight – 1 to 1
· 3 of a kind – 4 to 1
· Straight Flush 5 to 1
